About the Organizer

Udaan Youth Club (India) is an award-winning youth-led organization affiliated with MYBharat and Climate Cardinals, using digital campaigns and storytelling to mobilize global youth for social change. Led by State Youth Awardee Aman Kumar, the organization works toward UN Sustainable Development Goals and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through creative power of digital campaigns.

The #LetterToRiver Global Writing Campaign is a youth-led international movement by Udaan Youth Club (UYC) inviting people across the world to write heartfelt letters to their local rivers — expressing gratitude, concerns, memories, and hopes. 

The third edition is now open globally in observance of the International Day of Action for Rivers 2026. From the Ganga to the Amazon, Nile to Thames — every river has a story. Now it’s time we write back. #LetterToRiver is a global call for citizens — especially youth — to reconnect emotionally with rivers and raise a collective voice for their protection.

Letter Guidelines:

• Participants are invited to write a personal letter to a river they feel connected to.
• Your letter may include: Gratitude and memories, Cultural or personal stories, Concerns about pollution/climate change, Hopes and messages for the future, A call to protect the river etc.
• Requirements: Language: English
• Format: Handwritten letter on paper
• Upload clear photo/scan
• Original content only (no plagiarism or AI-generated text)
• Suggested length: 200–500 words
• No strict word limit
